Key Ingredients:

TrueCica Complex (378,000 ppm)

An exclusively developed calming agent, comprised of tea tree (soothing, anti-bacterial properties), centella asiatica (wound healing, anti-inflammatory), artemisia indica (calming, soothing) and other extracts of centella.

Zinc Oxide (90,000 ppm)

Sunscreen agent which provides broad spectrum protection, is non-irritating and highly stable. It is responsible for the white cast left after application hence some sunscreens use a nanoparticle formula to reduce this cast. So far, research does not show nanoparticles are absorbed into the skin, only remaining on the surface or outermost layer (dead cells).

Resveratrol

An antioxidant found in red grapes and berries, with potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

The Consistency:

The sunscreen has a light to medium consistency – it feels like a lotion and is easily spreadable.

At first there is a noticeable white cast (3rd pic) however once the sunscreen is fully rubbed in and settled down, it is less obvious (4th pic).

Scent wise, it smells *unsurprisingly* of tea tree which is a medium strength but fades after you’ve finished application.

The Performance:

On application, the sunscreen feels quite lightweight and is easy to spread on the skin. Blending this into the skin feels nice and refreshing plus it dries with a comfortable matte finish so zero stickiness or shine. There is a minimal white cast left behind which is really not bad (also expected anyway since it’s a physical sunscreen!).

As someone with combo-dry skin, I found this sunscreen to cling to drier areas when applying it ~an hour after moisturiser (mainly in winter). My solution – applying the sunscreen straight after moisturising, which meant I did not see any clinging to drier areas on my cheeks during the colder months.

I’ve been using this sunscreen for about half a year now (just started my second tube!) and I’ve had no issues with wearing it under my make-up. It doesn’t dry out my drier areas throughout the day and just stays looking pretty much the same
